Opening its gates every summer, this captivating destination in scenic upstate New York promises an unforgettable escape. Nestled at the base of Lyon, Johnson, and Ellenburg Mountains, this four-mile lake offers a private haven in a charming, peaceful town.

 

Looking to enhance your visit? Consider renting the pavilion area at Chazy Lake Beach, providing an ideal setting for gatherings and celebrations. For detailed information, simply reach out to the Supervisor's Office at 492-7541 Extension 2.

 

Not only does Chazy Lake boast breathtaking surroundings, but it also hosts a vibrant aquatic ecosystem. Delight in the thrill of fishing as you encounter an abundance of natural treasures. With approximately 7,000-7,400 rainbow trout, 1,000 lake trout, and 200 landlocked salmon, as well as a thriving yellow perch population, this lake ensures an exciting angling experience for all enthusiasts.

A FEW FRIENDLY REMINDERS

  • The playground area is now open! The beach officially opens June 29th.

  • We will have ongoing upgrades to the beach all summer so you may see some construction equipment at various times.

  • Amenities at the beach (pavilion and bathrooms) are rustic. 

  • If the pavilion has been reserved, please be respectful and leave it for the people for whom it was reserved.

  • The gate to the beach will be locked from 9pm to 8am every day during the summer (May1st - Oct 15th) and Dusk to 9am (Oct 16th - April 30th). Vehicles not removed by closing time will be towed at owner's expense.

  • If you carry it in, please carry it out! Don't leave your trash for the next person.
