Dannemora Hometown Heroes

The Dannemora Town Board is pleased to honor our “Hometown Heroes”. 

 

The Town of Dannemora is partnering with local families to present the Hometown Heroes Banner Program. The program is designed to recognize active duty and veteran servicepersons. Each sponsored banner will include an individual's photo, name and branch of service. Banners will be displayed from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. Applications for 2022 Town of Dannemora banners are now available at the Town Office, 78 Higby Road, Ellenburg Depot (Chazy Lake) or you can download from this site. Applications may be submitted beginning January 4, 2022. Please keep in mind that this is for Town of Dannemora residents. Information on applications for the Village of Dannemora is available by contacting Shaun Akin at shaun.trustee@gmail.com.

Criteria for banner: 

Honoree must be:

• Military personnel

• Currently serving or honorably discharged (DD Form 214) ~ retired or deceased

Honoree must meet one of the following criteria:

• Be a current resident of the Town of Dannemora and/or,

• Have previously lived in the Town as a long-term resident.

 

Each application is subject to approval by the Hometown Heroes Committee.
